Still preppy with a boho makeover? The new nautical Fall/Winter 2016 collection from Tommy Hilfiger

The latest collection for Fall/Winter 2016 from Tommy Hilfiger feels a lot like nautical style with a fair dose of boho though. At sunny Carribeans not that long ago, today on board of the steamer from nearly two centuries ago (branded by the designers initials T.H. Atlantic is supposedly inspired by RMS Atlantic, the liner built in 1870 in Belfast). T.H. Atlantic venture into the „deep waters” during Fashion Week in New York. The viewers were seated on the benches placed at the top floor (including the actor, model and blogger Olivia Palermo who collaborated with the brand in 2015). Modeling stars like Imaan Hammam, Hailey Baldwin, Taylor Hill, Julie Nobis graced the runway, accompanied by the international brand's ambassador Gigi Hadid who opened the show wearing baby doll dress, frilled socks, golden wedges and crowned with a tiara in her hair.

What makes the fall season lineup according to Tommy Hilfiger? Captain style navy coats with shoulder straps and golden buttons, capes, sweaters embellished with appliques, flared cuffs, bebe collars, rufflings, golden stitchings, flowing fabrics, navy-and-white stripes, high rise bell bottoms, culottes, bomber jackets, metallic boots and wedges paired with socks. Nautical style inspirations are more than plain to see, yet there's still plenty room for boho detailings.

Hilfiger definitely spread his wings!

Ahoy the sailor!
